About Us

Chris Mowen spent his early career in the horse racing Industry, which included time as a Conditional Jockey and as a Head Lad. This sparked his passion for the healing and rehabilitation side of training racehorses and led to the development of his Intuitive awareness of the subtle energy (Electrical) system which appears to govern the overall health and wellbeing of the physical body.

Through the pursuit of gaining more knowledge of the subtle energy system Chris went on to practise and teach the ancient art of Tai Chi. Currently teaching weekly classes for Age UK & Nuffield Health in and around East Grinstead.

After a period of time running his own gardening business, Chris eventually went on to qualify with a BTEC Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage with the London School of Sports Massage in 2008.

Time spent studying CORE Myofascial Release with Noah Karrasch soon followed, in pursuit of a deeper knowledge and understanding of the workings of soft tissue and subtle energy techniques.

Chris discovered Kinesiology after training with The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology (TASK) and alongside being mentored by Alan Smith, an experienced and highly regarded Applied Kinesiologist/Chiropractor which eventually gave rise to the Kinesiology Clinic at Crown House in July 2019.

After Alan Smith’s Retirement in December 2022, Chris went on to mentor Janet Dark who also trained with TASK and is now a fully established practitioner in the clinic.

Janet, Alan & Chris

Janet’s journey has constantly had healthcare and compassion for others at its very heart. Working at the local vets proved to her that caring for others was where her lifes path lay.

This continued in her career as a Radiographer. She is passionate about working with energy; specialising in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) showed her that the quantum world was very real.

Janet’s own energy radiates easily in her work and in her leisure activities. She studied Personal Performance Coaching to assist claustrophobic patients better tolerate their MRI scan.

It was through her love for Qigong and Tai Chi that lead her to Kinesiology. It was here where the accessing of energy points to promote clients own energy circuits and wellbeing was learnt. (As well as promoting lymphatic drainage, contacting neuro vascular points and the use of supplementary products)

Janet was very fortunate to benefit from a post TASK qualification mentoring in the East Grinstead Kinesiology clinic with Chris Mowen. During this time she has also studied and qualified in Reflexology as well as completing the Kinesiology Diploma

Janet continues to enjoy working independently as well as partnering with Chris in the Clinic.
